About this Publication
This newsletter is written by Amr Jomaa, CEO and Co-founder of Navys, a legal operating system built exclusively for private funds. My focus is on the intersection of funds law, technology, and legal intelligence. How specialized AI is reshaping the way fund counsel, investors, and firms operate.
Through these posts, I share:
Analysis of trends in legal AI, regulation, and fund workflows.
Practical insights from my experience advising on complex fund formation matters.
First-hand lessons from building Navys, a hyper-specialized platform designed to help lawyers and fund professionals work smarter, faster, and with greater precision.
My goal is simple: to cut through the noise around “legal AI” and deliver specialized, fund-focused intelligence that busy professionals can use immediately.

About Me
I’m a lawyer turned founder, trained at Columbia Law School and admitted to the New York Bar. Before starting Navys, I advised on complex fund formation at Kirkland & Ellis and Cleary Gottlieb, where I saw first-hand how much talent was wasted on repetitive, manual work.
That experience pushed me to build Navys: a legal operating system purpose-built for funds law. My mission is to give lawyers the tools to focus on the strategic, high-value decisions that only humans can make.
Alongside my legal career, I’ve also worked in human rights advocacy, including with the Lebanese Center for Human Rights and the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
